Can I sell gold of all karatages?

We buy standard Indian Gold which generally ranges between 18kt to 22kt, we also buy gold purchased internationally which ranges from 14kt to 22kt, If the karatage  is below 14kt our valuator reserves the decision to purchase your gold which may vary from case to case.

Do you purchase gold when i am unable to produce a copy of the invoice?

Invoice is not mandatory, however in cases where we feel that the ownership has to be verified, we may ask for invoices & additional proofs.

Are there any tax implications when I sell gold and exchange it for money?

Yes! Gold is a capital asset therefore sale of gold will be subject to short-term capital gains or long-term capital gains depending upon the number of months you have held the gold / jewelry.

  • SHORT TERM CAPITAL GAINS: is applicable when gold is sold within 24months from the date of its purchase, the profit portion on sale will be treated as income at the prevailing IT slab rates depending on the male / female assesse  & also the old or new regime you have opted for as per the Income Tax Act.

 

  • LONG TERM CAPITAL GAINS: is applicable when gold is sold after 24months from the date of its purchase, the profit portion on sale will be treated as income and will be taxed at 12.5% + surcharges as per the Income Tax Act.

Do you share my mobile number/documents for marketing purposes?

Your documents will be securely stored for future transactions at DGold,in and we are obligated to present your details to government authorities if requested.

Do you purchase white gold?

White gold is basically like any gold but silverish in color, the special alloys used to manufacture this makes it look different from yellow gold but the properties are the same, therefore we will purchase white gold at par with the yellow gold rates.

Can I sell gold jewelry belonging to my relative, neighbor, or friend?

NO, such actions are ill-advised. Do not risk entanglement in fraudulent transactions, even for a commission. You shall be the primary accused in such dealings, facing potential harassment, fines, and even imprisonment. You may sell Gold/Silver/Diamonds belonging to you, your spouse, or your parents, provided you have their consent.

To transact at DGold.in you must be a local resident with valid ID & Address proof. However, during exceptional cases who have valid reasons we would welcome non-residents also.

How are payments processed, and how long will it take for the payment to credit my account?

All payments will align with our company guidelines via CASH* / IMPS / NEFT / RTGS. By default, the preferred mode of transfer is vide IMPS. However, during exceptional cases other modes of payment may be opted.

Time taken for payment credit: 

  • CASH – Instant payment *(Subject to statutory limits)

  • UPI – Instant payment for transactions where value is below one lakh.

  • IMPS – Instant payment for transactions of any limit

  • NEFT – Payment credit time may vary from 2hr to 4hrs from the time of transaction

Rest assured, your ornaments will remain unscathed, and no damage will occur during the ordinary course of the XRF test. Yet should the need for further examination arise, with your consent, we may undertake tests that could necessitate cutting or melting the ornament.

Is there any value for the semi-precious stones, natural beads, diamonds present on my jewelry?

Stones such as American diamonds, zircons, and semi-precious gems like rubies, emeralds, or sapphires possess no resale value. However, ornaments adorned with natural diamonds and uncut diamonds may be considered if their quality shines bright.

How do you determine the value of my gold jewellery?

The formula for determining gold jewellery value is elegantly simple:
